** NOTE **
As your skating improves, so does your stick-handling, passing, shooting, creativity and your confidence. All increases the speed of the game, while assists you to get to the next level, whatever that may be. Confidence is gained through performance, while my job as an instructor is to get every student to perform at their fullest potentials. Remember, if you “CAN‘T SKATE, you CAN’T PLAY!” |

Dear Parents and Players:
My name is Kim Muir. I am Power Skating Instructor for Travel Hockey Players. I strongly believe that players should be synergistically developing their skills and strategies over time, with consistency and positive reinforcement. My theory is to teach the most proficient ways of gaining more speed, momentum, balance, and coordination. My goals are for you to master my skating drills, with and without the puck, while understanding when and where to apply them to a game situation offensively and defensively. And my oath is to lead by example.
ATTENTION PARENTS
Although my goals are for me to enhance your skating skills and build confidence in my students, as a former educator, it is my responsibility to
help balance the priorities of academics with athletics, by promoting education as a tool to success and happiness in one’s life.
Hockey is a microcosm of life; it’s about making yourself better for you, your team, but ultimately, making yourself more marketable for your future.
Although, Hockey is a team sport, you are the sole proprietor of how good you want to be, whether it reflects your hockey career or your future. Remember that hockey is a microcosm of life; it’s about making yourself better for you, your team, but ultimately, making yourself more marketable for your future.
** NOTE **
I am not teaching you how to play the game, nor am I teaching you to figure skate, but rather, I am assisting you to become faster and more proficient on your skates for your game! My drills have to be purposeful; otherwise, I‘m wasting your time and money.
